Looking For A Marketing Company? Run Away If You Hear These Two Red Flags 👇

Over the last 17 years, we have tried DOZENS of marketing companies at our 36 gyms...

And have noticed TWO red flags that have led to:

The first thing we've learned is that tracking results by Cost Per Lead (CPL) or by how much you pay for a lead from your advertising spend is ineffective.

The whole point of an advertising campaign is to get new customers.

Yes, it's important to try to get your CPL as low as possible, but what is far more important is:

✅ If you can get customers at a reasonable price.

We track how much it costs to get a new customer by the term Cost Per Acquisition (CPA).

Basically, it is a more holistic view of what you are spending to get that customer.

This includes everything such as your ad spend, agency fee, salesperson commission, etc.

The lower this number is, the better!

If a marketing company isn't helping you track this, and is only telling you your CPL, then go ahead and 🏃♂️ away...

Because if you are only tracking CPL, you will NEVER know if you are making money from your ad dollars.

The second thing that cost us THOUSANDS of dollars and terrible results is this same exchange I had numerous times with several different agencies...

ME: "Hey 'marketing company', why has there been no one walking through our doors?

Marketing Company: "Oh, because we have to let the algorithm optimize."

...

We have run advertising campaigns in over 600 markets.

And not ONE time did we need to let the "algorithm optimize" to get results...

IN FACT, when we launch a new campaign at a gym, our results are significant and instantaneous. So much so that our clients have people lined up at their gym like the drive-thru line at Chick-Fil-A.
